When i ask 'how's your life'..?
Usually in Instant Messenger chats ( I use only gtalk these days) i open the conversation with
“hi
“hi
how’s life?”
I rarely chat these days. I ask this in order to get along with the conversation. If the person on the other end just says
“fyn…” or “life is good…”
The conversation is broken. I hate it like hell…

Once somebody asked my friend "Hi how are you" and he said: I am not so good. I seem to have a bad stomach and no bank blanace. I also have a broken heart and am tired of calling my girlfriend. Can you please help me patch up?
I think "fyn" is still fine than the above answer :P

I accept it. but how do u say both these situations are same. May be, your friend was not in a position to answer 'Somebody' or he might said it deliberately becoz 'somebody' asked him...:)

yes Sudhan,all depends in perception. just curious to know what will you reply to "howz life?"
if I were at your place I will do the same, but I wont hate it.
I would start the conversation like this,
1.
"do u know one thing?" - to a long forgotten (classmate) girl who is always online who knew that I am also online and still her ego protects her to say the two letter word "hi"
2.
"Enna machan sethutiya?" - to a mischievous friend of mine.
3.
When the same guy is offline most of the time and I want to talk to him desperately then I will type "throghi" and leave it. He will come with all the Tamil bad words he know when I am online. Then I will say "cool...eppadi unna pudichen pathiyea?" and start the conversation.
